    Storm!!!

    photos of the nasty storm that ripped through the midwest last weekend.

    this is the back side of the storm. the front of the storm was just grey nothing crazy looking anyways.





    this is the west side of Gifford IL. this is as close as the state police wanted us to get that night.

    Click on this photo it may take you to my photobucket then zoom in on it. the house just below the water tower has a 40 foot hopper bottom trailer lying against the roof line. That belongs to a trucker we've known for a long time. it knocked the house 2 feet off the foundation.
    terrible destruction in this very small town. wish I would have had a tripod for this. I used the roof of my truck but the 35 MPH winds were shaking the whole truck.

    not to bad for an old D90 crop sensor and some cheap lenses.

    holy crap! thats some serious damage on that last pic at 100%. hope they all had homeowners insurance.

    get images, storms are a lot of fun, they usually create some really interesting skies

    straighten, like flatten the horizon? it'd be hard, you'll be squishing it even more. , I kinda like the curved horizon actually.

    what do you think about a 36" wide canvas!!! that would look F'ing awesome in my house!!!

    yeah, that would probably look pretty cool. I don't normally print on canvas but I bet it'd turn out well.
