    White-tailed Deer rut

    Just a couple photos I took last week at the park, I apologize if the photos seem a bit dim, it was a lowlight situation.

    Big buck at the trail side

    Here he's having a stand-off with another buck, there was a female present but she's off frame.

    Nice! looks like they came through this time. we get a lot of mule deer out here but not really whitetail, though there were plenty of white tail when I used to live in Michigan.

    We don't have many Mulies on this side of the province, but on the west side in the plains we do have them. We have caribou and moose over here though so that kinda makes up for it :P Not that I've been able to spot either though. I saw those pics of the mulie fight you posted, pretty cool!

    This is actually the reason that big dark brown buck appeared:

    I was photographing the doe, when she suddenly started doing the flehmen response, and I heard the buck crashing through the bush.
