    Wild rabbits

    A couple wild Jackrabbits living it up on Antelope Island...

    I'm trying to figure out which species the second pic is. #1 is for sure a black-tailed jackrabbit. Jack rabbits are neat, nice when they freeze for a picture.

    yeah I know nothing about rabbit species. they both were in the same general area. but they definitely have some differences, I'm not sure what the second one is.

    Well, after a little searching, I came to the understanding that it could be either a desert cottontail or a mountain cottontail. But how you tell the two apart I'm not sure.

    yeah I'm not sure either. Thanks for investigating, it sounds like the desert cottontail is more common here, so out of statistics alone I'd probably lean toward that, but otherwise I'm not sure either.

    Seems the most likely species. I feel like I'm always trying to ID stuff in people's pictures :P I don't know why
