    Yea. The old 70-300 and the CCSB hood to stabilize off of. Lol if I moved they all flew away. Lol

    heh, yeah, a good thing to do is shoot from inside the car...birds are far less scared of cars than they are of people, its like as soon as you open the door BOOM, they're gone.

    Right. I had the advantage of them being on the right side of the truck so they didn't much care about me as long as I stayed over there. I did use it to startle them for some flight photos. Hehe

    dove butts! haha...I like #1, looks like #2 might be a little bit of missed focus or maybe just a heavy crop.

    I'm not great at staying still at 300mm so I tend to wonder around a bit while trying to focus. I try but I'm just not that steady.

    yeah, just takes practice, if you can stabilize yourself on something nearby that can help too, or drop and take a knee and stabilize your elbows on your knee...or if you're inside your truck shooting, use the window ledge or something...
