Thread: Photographs in the "Blue Hour"

    Photographs in the "Blue Hour"

Per Wikipedia: "The blue hour is the period of twilight... where there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. The time is considered special because of the quality of the light". You guys all know that, but in some ways to me it is even more special than the golden hour. Well here a shot I was determined to get in the "blue hour". I would love to see other "Blue Hour" photographs...

Thats awesome. I see it has a 30 second exposure. So how dark was it really? Does it look like this in person?

Thank you NEF. Sunset on June 3, 2010 was recorded as happening at 18:22. Photo was taken at 18:12. I do recall it being 2-3 stops darker than this.

I agree, both excellent shots, I like the blue hour look contrasted by the yellow/gold lights on the house in #2, though the perspective distortion feels a bit odd in it.
